Our local CERT is based in Olean, NY, and members are trained individuals with an interest in serving their community.  CERT members may be called upon during a disaster to perform various tasks such as shelter registration, providing meals to responders, light search duties, and animal sheltering.  In fulfilling these roles, CERT members often work closely with the Office of Emergency Services staff, American Red Cross, and Salvation Army.
