Agriculture and Markets Law Section 303-b was enacted in 2003 to provide for the designation of an annual 30-day period during which landowners may submit requests for the inclusion of predominately viable agricultural land into an existing certified agricultural district. Cattaraugus County has designated January 2 through January 31, 2019 as this 30-day period.
Joseph G. Keller, Cattaraugus County Treasurer, reminds taxpayers that unpaid 2019 County/Town Taxes will be returned to the County for collection on April 2. Local collectors will be able to collect the March amount on April 1 due to the fact that the last day of March falls on a Sunday. If you intend to pay the current year tax to the local collector by mail, please be sure to get your payment postmarked no later than April 1 (U.S. Postmark only).

It's a condition caused by swallowing or inhaling lead. Even small amounts of lead can be harmful. Young children are at greatest risk because their bodies absorb lead more easily than adults' do. A pregnant woman and her unborn baby can be hurt by lead. Lead can be found in paint, dust, soil and tap water. The Cattaraugus County Board of Health meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. In New York State, county Boards of Health are empowered by NYS Public Health Law to formulate, promulgate, adopt and publish rules, regulations, orders and directions for the security of life and health in the county health districts. Boards of Health are also empowered to enforce provisions of both the State and County Sanitary Codes. The next County Planning Board Meeting is Thursday, March 28th, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the Large Committee Room, Third Floor, Cattaraugus County Center, 303 Court Street, Little Valley, NY.
