Cathy Mackay, director of the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging, has announced the Twenty-Fourth (24th) Annual Senior Forum and Public Hearing will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Ellicottville Senior High School beginning at 9:00 a.m. The forum is free and open to all Senior Citizens, their Caregivers, and those interested in Senior Services.

Capture the Bat Campaign
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a Bow hunters' education class for the Bow portion only on the following dates and time: Wednesday, August 29, 2018 and Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. The class will be held at the Hideaway Archery 12749 Cottage Road Dayton, New York.
The 2018 State/Local Primary Election in Cattaraugus County is set for noon to 9 p.m. THURSDAY, Sept. 13, due to the Sept. 11 observance. Learn about the upcoming 2018 Primary Elections and view the sample ballots.
There will be a countywide Democratic Primary for Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General - as well as County Democratic Committee member in Ward 3 Salamanca and Town Justice in Freedom.
There will be a countywide Reform Party Primary for Attorney General.
The Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services assisted county residents with special medical needs during the hot months this year through the Home Energy Assistance Program's Cooling Component.
The Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services is pleased to announce the completion of another successful Summer Youth Employment Program in which, a record number of youth were served. This summer, Department of Social Services staff assisted 154 area youth from communities across Cattaraugus County.
