Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of four additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 residents within Cattaraugus County. The department’s active positive COVID-19 caseload is now sixty two as there are two hundred and thirty eight residents who have recovered from COVID-19.

The three hundred and ninth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who has no significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.) and was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on October 12th as a requirement for pre-op clearance and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The three hundred and tenth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who has no significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She developed congestion, shortness of breath, chest pain headaches, and muscle aches. She was tested for COVID-19 on October 9th and her test results on October 13th indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The three hundred and eleventh confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who has no significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She is a healthcare worker who recently developed cough and congestion. She was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on October 13th as a weekly requirement for employees at the facility and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The three hundred and twelfth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who has no significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She is a healthcare worker who recently developed congestion, fatigue and headaches. She was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on October 13th as a weekly requirement for employees at the facility and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The department has begun a thorough contact tracing investigation for those individuals that they have been in contact with and the places that they have visited.
