Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of three additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 residents within Cattaraugus County. The department's active positive COVID-19 caseload is now ten, as there are now sixty-four residents who have recovered from COVID-19. 

The seventy-sixth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who has no significant travel history. She works for a healthcare facility in Olean and was tested for COVID-19 on June 5th as part of a recent requirement of all nursing home facilities to test all employees twice weekly. She reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.) and denies any known contacts with a positive COVID-19 person. Her test results on June 9th indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The seventy-eighth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the northeast quadrant of the county, who has no significant travel history. She works for a healthcare facility in Olean and was tested for COVID-19 on June 1st as part of a recent requirement of all adult care facilities to test all employees twice weekly. She reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.) and denies any known contacts with a positive COVID-19 person. Her test results on June 10th indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The department has begun a thorough contact tracing investigation for those individuals that they have been in contact with and the places that they have visited.
