Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of eleven additional residents with confirmed cases of COVID-19 within Cattaraugus County. The department’s active positive COVID-19 caseload is now thirty four as there are one-hundred and forty six residents who have recovered from COVID-19.
The one hundred and seventy fourth confirmed case is a young female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who is reported to have no significant travel history. She is a direct contact of a COVID positive person who recently developed fever, congestion, headaches and abdominal discomfort. She was tested for COVID-19 on August 31st and her test results on September 1st indicated that she was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and seventy fifth confirmed case is a young female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who is reported to have no significant travel history. She is a direct contact of a COVID positive person who recently developed fever, congestion, and abdominal discomfort. She was tested for COVID-19 on August 31st and her test results on September 1st indicated that she was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and seventy sixth confirmed case is a young male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who is reported to have no significant travel history. He is a direct contact of a COVID positive person who recently developed fever, cough, running nose, body aches and fatigue. He was tested for COVID-19 on August 31st and his test results on September 1st indicated that he was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and seventy seventh confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the northwest quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. She is a direct contact of a COVID positive person who recently developed loss of taste. She was tested for COVID-19 on August 31st and her test results on September 1st indicated that she was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and seventy eighth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or direct contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. She developed fever, weakness, and nausea and vomiting. She was given a rapid COVID-19 test on September 1st and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and seventy ninth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or direct contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. She developed fever, chills, headaches, congestion, and loss of both smell and taste. She was given a rapid COVID-19 test on September 1st and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and eightieth confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. He is a direct contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. He developed fever, cough, body aches, headaches, diarrhea and loss of both smell and taste. He was tested for COVID-19 on August 30th and his test results on September 2nd indicated that he was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and eighty first confirmed case is a male resident who is residing in the southwest quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or direct contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. He reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.) He was tested for COVID-19 on August 31st as a routine testing requirement of the facility and his test results on September 2nd indicated that he was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and eighty second confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. He is a direct contact of a known positive COVID-19 person but reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.) He was tested for COVID-19 on September 1st and his test results on September 2nd indicated that he was positive for the virus.
The one hundred and eighty third confirmed case is a young male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who is reported to have no significant travel history. He is a direct contact of a known positive COVID-19 person but is reported to be asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.) He was tested for COVID-19 on September 1st and his test results on September 2nd indicated that he was positive for the virus.

We would like to reiterate that if any resident experience fever, cough, shortness of breath or whole body aches they should contact their health care provider (avoid going directly to an Urgent Care facility, or the Emergency Room before calling).
