Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of four additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 residents within Cattaraugus County. The department's active positive COVID-19 caseload is now twelve, as there are now ninety-one residents who have recovered from COVID-19.
The one hundredth and fourth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who recently returned from vacationing in Florida. She has been asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, or no body aches, etc.) but reports having direct contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. She was tested for COVID-19 on July 2nd and her test results on July 9th indicated that she was positive for the virus.
The one hundredth and fifth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who has not significant travel history. She developed fever, cough and body aches after being in direct contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. She was tested for COVID-19 on July 8th and her test results on July 10th indicated that she was positive for the virus.
The one hundredth and sixth confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. He has been asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, or no body aches, etc.) and denies any direct contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. He was tested for COVID-19 on July 6th and his test results on July 10th indicated that he was positive for the virus.
The one hundredth and seventh confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southwest quadrant of the county, who has no significant travel history. She developed headaches after being in direct contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. She was tested for COVID-19 on July 6th and her test results on July 10th indicated that she was positive for the virus.
The department has begun a thorough contact tracing investigation for those individuals that they have been in contact with and the places that they have visited.
