To celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week (May 5-11), Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning, and Tourism invites the public to a workshop, “Partnering with County Tourism,”to be held on May 23rd at 7pm in the Cattaraugus County Center, 3rd Floor Legislative Chambers, in Little Valley. “Tourism Matters” is the theme of National Travel and Tourism week and while the county recognizes the importance of tourism, they also recognize the importance of educating the public on how essential the travel industry is in Cattaraugus County.
The workshop will begin with a presentation by County Tourism about the advantages of partnering with County Tourism but also the direct and indirect impact Tourism has on household taxes, jobs and the local economy. Other topics will include Amish Trail, I Love New York Partnership, Travel Writers, Familiarization Tours, Photographers, brochures and the County Activities Guide. Tourism Staff will be available to answer any questions you may have about the Bed Tax program that is available to help offset advertising costs for chambers, businesses, non-profit organizations, festivals, and other tourism associated activities and events.
There will be a special gift bag for all in attendance in addition to a drawing for a 1/8th page ad in the 2020 Enchanted Mountains Activities Guide (must comply with guidelines).
