Historical Museum & Research Center

Due to an unforeseen development, there has been a change in the lineup of the Cattaraugus County Museum's "Summer at the Stone House" event series schedule.

Musician Dave Ruch was scheduled to perform a program entitled "Traditional Folk Music of NY, Vol. II" at 7 p.m. this Thursday, July 12. Due to illness, Mr. Ruch has been forced to reschedule this performance. Fortunately, Della Moore has graciously agreed to switch dates and will give her talk on the subject of the African American Center for Cultural Development this Thursday instead.

Della Moore, the director of the African American Center for Cultural Development, has been an Olean resident since 1972. She is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University (MA in American History) and Temple University (MA in Black Studies), and research, writing and lecturing are her passions. She is also a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

The subject of her talk will be what is happening with the Center, as well as some information on the history of the Underground Railroad in Cattaraugus County.

The schedule for the rest of the summer will be:

All programs begin at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
