Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a Federal and State holiday which is observed on the Third Monday of January.
- County offices and other government buildings are closed.
- County Transfer Stations are closed.
He advanced civil rights for people of color in the U.S. through the use of nonviolent resistance and nonviolent civil disobedience. We celebrate his legacy on the third Monday of January. He took a stand for compassion, humanity, and justice.
