There will be a free Lead Renovator Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) class on April 30, 2024 from 8:00am to 5:00PM at the Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES Center in Ellicottville. Attendees must pre-register.

Homes and apartments built before 1978 may contain lead paint. Exposure to lead-paint dust or chips can cause serious health problems.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandates that any contractor or worker who performs any activity that disturbs more than 6 square feet of lead paint for interior activities or 20 square feet on any exterior surface MUST be trained and certified in EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP).

FACT: The EPA requires you to be certified* if you disturb more than just 6 square feet of a lead-painted surface.
