The next Planning Board Meeting will be held on March 27, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Cattaraugus County Center Building in Little Valley, NY

The planning division serves as staff to the 13-member County Planning Board, which must act upon referrals from local municipalities sent to the county under Section 239 I of New York State General Municipal Law. The staff makes recommendations to the County Planning Board regarding these referrals.

On April 9, 2025 at the West Valley Fire Hall, there will be Cattaraugus County's 13th Annual Farmer-Neighbor Dinner (FNDinner.com) hosted by the Cattaraugus County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, along with the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism, the Cattaraugus County Farm Bureau, and the Cattaraugus County Soil & Water Conservation District.

The Cattaraugus County Legislature will meet in adjourned session at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, for such business as may properly come before the meeting, in the Sheriff's Office Training Room at the Little Valley School Building, 207 Rock City St., Little Valley, New York.

The Allegany Highway Barn recently visited the 2nd grade class at the Allegany-Limestone Elementary School to participate in a Job Expo.  The Expo was held to accompany a story the class has been reading about a young girl looking for a summer job.  The teachers hoped the Expo would be a great way of bringing real life experiences to their students and exposing them to a wide variety of professions. Tom Henderson (Assistant Road Section Supervisor), Jeremy Crowley (Commercial Driver Class A), and Tyler Barber (Laborer II) had a great time talking with the class ab
