Cattaraugus County Health Department is sad to report the fourth death of a resident of Cattaraugus County due to COVID-19 related complications. She was a 71 year old female who developed sudden respiratory failure and was unable to overcome her illness despite aggressive medical treatment.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family and the entire Cattaraugus County community.

May 30, 2020

An inmate of the Cattaraugus County Jail has recently tested positive for COVID-19. This individual has been completely asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no shortness of breath or no body aches) and is doing well. He has been in isolation within the facility and has not been in direct contact with any other inmates since his arrival.

Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of its sixty-seventh confirmed case of COVID-19. The reporting laboratory was UPMC WCA Hospital, Chautauqua, NY. The department's active positive COVID-19 caseload is now seventeen, as there are now forty-seven residents who have recovered from COVID-19.

May 26, 2020

Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of its sixty-third confirmed case of COVID-19. The reporting laboratory was Bio-reference Laboratories Inc., Elmwood Park, NJ. The department's active positive COVID-19 caseload is now seventeen, as there are now forty-three residents who have recovered from COVID-19. 

There will be a meeting of the Agricultural & Farmland Protection Board on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM (EDT).
