Anyone in Cattaraugus County who has children who receive free or reduced lunch will receive assistance with food costs this summer. The Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services has recently learned that New York State, through the Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020, has authorized the payment of P-EBT food benefits to households with children who would have received free or reduced-price school meals under the National School Lunch Act.
The Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services has been advised by the New York State Office of Temporary Disability Assistance (OTDA) of three changes to the 2019-2020 Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).

Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of two additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 residents within Cattaraugus County. The department's active positive COVID-19 caseload is now four, as there are now eighty-five residents who have recovered from COVID-19.
Cattaraugus County Public Works Department seeks ambitious and capable applicants for the position of Deputy Commissioner at the Little Valley, New York facility. This multi-faceted, high level management position requires the successful candidate to serve in the absence of the Commissioner and possess a strong work ethic. Fiscal knowledge and attention to detail are required. Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of its ninety-first confirmed case of COVID-19. The reporting laboratory was Boston Heart Diagnostics, Framingham, MA. The department's active positive COVID-19 caseload is now five, as there are now eighty-two residents who have recovered from COVID-19.
