Honorably discharged veteran residents of Cattaraugus County may be buried at the Mount View Cemetery, Veterans Field of Honor section in Olean, New York with no charge for the burial plot for themselves or for their spouse.

This program is somewhat unique in that all counties in New York State do not offer this benefit. This benefit started in 1947 when the cemetery association deeded approximately 2 acres of land in the existing cemetery to Cattaraugus County and dedicated it to veteran resident burials only.
